How many times have you felt like you don’t matter?

How many times have you been asked what’s the matter?

How many times have you lied and replied with I’m fine

How many times have you wanted to die?

How many times have you died… emotionally?

Killed yourself

Cut yourself

Broke yourself

Hurt yourself

Had no words – unable to speak, unable to move.

Just think.

Just… Depression

From a girl who lost her mind.

  1. Anne, you have expressed this in the tone of depression which is very impressive. Unfortunately you described how many of us feel. I am learning to just get through those days, one way or another and live to the fullest the good days. Then I don’t feel like my life was stolen.

  2. I make it a point to visit the website of every single person who reads or follows my work. And here I come and see your first post, about depression.

I guess you and I on some level are on a similar tangent. I have faced gigantic storms, I still am, and I will face, fight it and conquer it, like everytime. You must have had traumatic events too I assume. And you have every right to be down about it. Not trying to be philosophical here, but light onlycomes after darkness. Believe me and trust me hard enough to realize the depth and reality which is there in those lines

    God bless

  3. Last week we had new joiner in the company, he resigned after a week of laughter, telling us jokes, funny stories from the past. As it turned out he has a heavy depression and couldn’t handle daily job anymore. Depression is a silent killer. 😦
